Yeah if I did anything I'd do a v8, just don't know everything I need, but I'm sure I could search and find the stuff haha but it would be nice to have a little more power.

Yeah for sure and there's plenty of info out there once you search but the 3.0 is just so under powered to start with you'd have to dig it out of its own hole and I don't see that being easy

Best thing to do is find a donor explorer 4x4 and just swap the engine, tranny, transfer case, drivetrain, and axles with differentials. The average ranger v8 swap takes 50-80 straight labor hours.
Sent from my old school HTC EVO Shift so I can screw off at work whenever I want

Its same bolt pattern on the block, only emissions standards may hinder you as you have a 99 with an 80s engine, the 00-02 expo/mountaineer V8 will pass as its a year newer and the computer and wire layout is same as the ranger

Started her up for the first time in a week. I've never been this glad to be back home with my own truck.

Took her to a friends house to look at a 89 Bronco. Ended up buying it for a summer project that in return become our beach truck

Man that's a lot, I think I'll just stick with the 3.0, later on once I get out of school and everything I'm more then likely going to do a full size mod haha but yeah if I did that 80s engine I wouldn't have to worry about emissions, we don't have anything like that up here. But if I can find an expo for cheap I may consider doing it. But that's for letting me know what all would need to be done.
