I wanted a 40 series but they only had a 50's or it's a 55's. either way it's meant for a 8 cylinder but it sounds pretty damn good too.

Maybe smaller gas tank? I have a 20 gal tank, usually costs over $60 to fill mine

That makes some definite sense. Mine is 17 and costs about $50-$55.

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread
Well, I just pulled the trigger for the entire SCT Pro-Racer Package for my truck ( SCT Pro-Racer Package - Purchase Page) & as few other related goodies.
This setup will allow me to fully write my own custom tunes for my Ranger and upload them via my Xcal3.
I will have tons of learning to do, but I also purchased a tuning guide and the PRP instructional DVD ( PSP Instructional DVD & Tuning Manual - Purchase Page) to hopefully help a little.

Then, to complement the tuning software I also picked up the ZT-2 Zeitronix Wideband O2 sensor package w/ the optional remote display ( Zeitronix Wideband O2 - Purchase Page).

The software alone makes it worth the price. It constantly scrolls the display, using several different user definable displays. You hit <Enter> to start logging and <enter> to stop logging. Simple. Then you can review the logs for the entire run by scrolling back. You can pinpoint lean or rich areas and figure out exactly where they are on the MAF curve since you will log A/F and MAF volts as well as any of the other available logging items. It's a true datalogger disguised as a wideband. You have the option of either a rectangular display, which can display A/F, Lambda, Boost and EGT at the same time or two different round gauge options
|
I purchased everything from Don @ LaSota Racing for just under $850. He had great customer service (like always).
He also gave me the full unlocked version of my tune he made for me back in August, so I can tweak anything I need and/or want too myself - Once I learn WTF I'm actually doing!
This should be an interesting learning event!

Took it into the shop about the vibration and noise I've been getting. Don't wanna start replacing things without knowing for sure what it is so ill leave to some pros. I feel like a parent whose kid is sick.

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread
Finally got a descent look at what kinda mpg I'm getting. Not to bad..i would think about 20 right on the mark. That's with a few hundred lbs in the bed, 18 inch rims. Not bad i guess.
