Slick truck you had there. Looked really great. Glad you are happy with the focus though. We have a 2012 hatch with the sport package and that thing is just a blast on curvy roads. 32mpg mostly city too. Are you going to mod it at all? Focus Fanatics is great forum for Foci as well.

So far I love the car. Its way more comfortable and the whole almost 40mpg thing is awesome on my wallet, beats the heck out of 15mpg.

Nice Focus! The gas mileage must be really nice.

Yeah. First its getting tint on the windows. Then, plastidip a few things black. Adding foglights and doing a projector retrofit. Also a few small LED mods.

Thanks. We only get snow once or twice a year and it gives me a reason to get a day off of work. From the people ive talked to who have driven these in the snow they have no issues. The wifes Escape is 4wd and does good in the snow.

Gas prices and the fact that I drive over 100 miles a day.

Heck yeah it is. I filled up for less than $40 from empty and that lasted me over 400 miles.
Plus this has 100,000 mile warranty and maintenance so I dont have to pay for anything but gas and tires for the next 100,000 miles.

Ford is known to have issues with its automatics, however, in Ford's defense, heat and dirt kill trannies. Plus, owners don't consider maintenance as a necessity despite the owner's manual stating service intervals required at every 30k, I believe.

As long as they happen before 100,000 miles I dont care. From what I hear most of those issues were in the 2012 models and supposedly once they get rebuilt they are better.

Of course, a car is probably going to have more room than a truck. My dad's old 2000-ish taurus tranny failed around 78K, and it needed a complete rebuild.
