(70 x .79 x 336) / 28.8 = ?

(18,580.8) / 28.8 = 645.16

Uhhhh.. you wrong, brah.

I turn 2400 at 70

Go to Richmond gearing's online calculator and see what you get.
Didn't learn reading skills either I see. Gear ratio. Not gear you are in ratio.

Go to a real vehicle forum and plug them numbers in and see what they think of ya then.

You can look at the tach all day long. Doesn't mean it's right.

Just look at the huge differences in this post with people with the same set up.

Something's broke

Someone don't know how to read a tach

Or someone is literally pulling shit outa their ass. I say 2 and 3 is most likely, with a little bit of number one thrown in.

That's cool though. Maybe some of you will be inspired to research a bit before you post technical info.

I'm fine with him just finding the 'log-out' button personally. His head can remain fully seated up his rear.

So what your sayin is that an actual digital gauge some people may have is incorrect? Or that our tach in the truck is incorrect? Answer this question for me, why would Ford have an incorrect tach? That's like saying they just slapped in a MPH gauge that doesn't mean anything at all. Sure I was taught a thing or two in Highschool auto, doesn't mean that I need to follow those rules or "mathematics".

With the number of simple tech questions I see here and not a single member has a clue to help someone trouble shoot minor problems. Yeah, I feel your pain

I'd spend the next 3 years answering simple little tech things here that never get a single reply.

Need chrome or bolt on pretty stuff? This is the place for sure. Rough shifting and no TCC lock up. Don't expect a single answer.

Anyone know of a brush guard for my 01 XLT E85 drinking 3.0 extended cab? I will need one soon.

meh...driving down the road i read that as trans ratio.

so let's do it again for boring...i mean boris.

(70 x 3.55 x 336) / 28.8 = ?

83,496 / 28.8 = 2899 exactly what i would be running in 4th

if you go here http://www.coastdriveline.com/htmlfo...lculator2.html and factor in the overdrive ratio of .79, you will get what everyone is claiming, such as i do for 2300 rpm at 70 with a 3.55 gear on a 5sp trans.

now, about your social skills.....don't walk in the room and be a dickhead. keep your smart-ass comments to yourself and let eeveryone guess.

I've seen a few transmission threads over the years here going back and reading old posts while I'm bored. People drop the trans, R&R it, still have same problem and no one here after years know how to help them out. I'm just amazed at the lack of technical knowledge here.

Great place to accessorize or show off pics for sure. Just don't expect any accurate technical information.
