Default My chance to go styleside

So I found this --> Craigslist find

I've been wanting to go styleside for some time now. Is this a good price for what's there?

I forgot to call today so I might tomorrow, but I'm hoping it's straight and rust free.

Should I try talking him down? Or is he right on the money price wise?

Why switch? You see style sides everywhere, flares are rarer.

im assuming he liked the look better if he's been looking on craigslist for one. And I wouldn't let rarity of a bed affect my decision. It's not gonna help him any.

i would try talking him down regardless. If your getting the entire assembly I don't that's too bad. But then again I've never shopped around for truck beds before.

I've always liked my flareside, I just think now that I'm lifted and considering a double lift and bigger tires, the stylesides look better.

Thanks, I really appreciate that.

I think one of the main reasons I want a styleside is so I can get painted flares and a bed cover

The price doesn't seem out of line from the research I did years ago.

You can get a bed cover for a flare. I have one on mine. I do like fender flares but paying 750 plus the cost of painting it to match doesn't seem worthy.. But it's your truck, your money.

I saw a style side bed around here for 50 dollars about a year ago.

I priced out a steppie bed a few weeks ago from a JY here & they were asking $650.00 for it so your price seems about right.

Most I find are in need of body repair or have rust coming through.

This seems like a decent find.

I might start opening up my search, I'm only searching SE Missouri and St. Louis
