Default Opinion on this CB?

I've been toying with the idea of putting a CB into my Ranger. I have a Cobra 29 Nightwatch from my time driving semi's over the road, so I know they make a good product. However, I don't want to mount that CB in my Ranger currently, mainly b/c A) I might get my own semi full time at work soon, and B) its big, not a lot of room inside Ranger.

So, I looked at this little guyhttp://www.summitracing.com/parts/COB-C75WXST/. Its a CB all contained in a handset. I was wondering if anyone here has one, has used one, or knows how well they work. Thanks in advance!

I knew someone with it. It was a good CB, very convenient having no base. I have an all in one by Cobra as well, but it is different because I wanted the PA option as well.

I have one as well. Have had it for 7 yrs and no probs. . Have yet to install it in my new Ranger (but soon enough). I really liked that I could remove it easily from prying eyes (especially with the soft top on the Jeep / the last place I had it installed). I had it hooked up to a Cobra Radio Speaker with noise filter Model HG S300. You can buy another (or more) Model AC 701 Junction Box for it and move if from one vehicle to the next extremally easily (unscrew hand set from the Junction Box from one vehicle and screw hand set into the other vehicles Junction Box). And it's so small, takes up very little room (ideal for limited areas / Ranger for sure) Love it. When I do finally install it I will post my install.

Go for it! You'll be glad ya did. What's a couple extra bucks for what ya want!

Seems kinda pricey for being so small. You can pick up a decent Midland or Cobra that is pretty small for half the price...

That may be, but I really like the all in one feature. I've seen the smaller Cobra's around at Walmart as well, and though about those as well. To me, its easy to just keep out of the way, I won't kick it as easily, and such. I'm not opposed to putting in a regular CB radio. I would probably also hunt one down on Ebay or Craigslist for a better price. Thanks for the advice guys, and I look forward to the write up on the install! I'll need it!

I have a uniden pc122xl (oldie but unlocked), and a cobra 19 dx IV (paid 25$ new =P), i'd never buy from a store, they charge soooo much for basic cbs.

Not a fan of the "phantom" cbs...
