This is definitely one of my favorite threads. Thanks for keeping it current Bob C! Though, still a work in progress, I get compliments every time I take my Ranger out. The latest was a in a Menard's parking lot and a couple of guys were walking around her trying to guess the year and if it was the original paint. A lot of folks have owned Rangers...many wished they still had them.

Great Howard, like your story and hear you on the new Rangers. They won't be nothing like ours and I would never be able to afford one, if I wanted it. Your truck is deluxe!

I drove the Ranger over to a local upholster, to see if he could repair my drivers seat tear and when I pulled up, him and another guy where sitting in some lawn chairs out front. They both got up and headed to me and the Ranger, the upholsterer introduced himself and the other guy said "nice Ranger" I kind of accidentally blew him off and started talking to Randy the upholster. Well when I got home that afternoon,I thought, boy I was rude to the other guy who complimented me.I went back on Friday and told Randy," boy I was rude to your friend and please tell him thanks for the compliment". Randy said "let me tell you about that guy", he said "he went to three automotive schools and can do anything to cars and trucks and is a perfectionist and when he graduated for the last school, he was second in his class and Boyd Cottington flew there personally, to offer him a job and the boy turned him down, as he was having girl friend troubles" I about crapped my pants! I did get his name and number in case I need help in the future. What a honor to get a compliment from him!

Had it inspected for registration and the mechanic who checked it asked "You must be the original owner." I replied "No, what makes you say that?" "Wow you're not? Thats the cleanest interior and engine compartment I've ever seen on a 16 year old truck."

My Ranger doesnt have any of the fancy farkles many of you guys have- bone stock with a great stereo. So if I'm to get a compliment, its going to be one like the one I had above.
