Re: Had Any Compliments On Your Ranger?
My Girlfriend Was On Facebook And Said She Saw A Picture Of A Truck That Looked Like Mine And Wanted To Show Me, It Ended Up Being My Truck At A Drive Thru Up North On A Trip Back From Algonquin Park, Someone Had Taken A Picture Of My Truck And Posted It On A Ranger Group On Facebook. It Felt Good Reading The Comments On The Picture And The Amount Of People Who Liked It.

Re: Had Any Compliments On Your Ranger?
The Comcast guy was over yesterday changing out our service drop from the pole and he saw I was working on my Ranger changing out the sway bar bushings and links. He knew his Rangers because not only did he like the truck but said it was in great shape for 12 years old daily driver. I love it.

Re: Had Any Compliments On Your Ranger?
Put the truck box on not that long ago, still two tone, fixed the frame, bed, inner rockers, missing pieces for interior, and put new tires, everyone been telling me at the shop it look like a brand new truck. "The shop" is a diesel mechanics shop I do electrical work for.
Doing all the work myself, I know I'll still never get the money back out of this truck I'm putting it but at least it shows improvement lol

I also do 99% of the work myself so the way I look at it and justify it in my mind is the fact I still love my truck so keeping it running and looking in tip top shape is better then going out and getting a new 400+ a month payment. Initial depreciation is a money black hole. Besides, Rangers are thing for me.
For me it only becomes financially foolish if I have to pay someone all that expensive labor for the upkeep.

Re: Had Any Compliments On Your Ranger?
I've had a long dry spell, no compliments, just rubber necking.Believe it not, today I got two.As some of you know,I repair and sell used push mowers for extra retirement income. Anyway I went to the funeral home as a friend passed and as I was walking out, my phone rang.Wanted to know if I still had the mower in my yard for sale, they said they would take it and as I was pulling in my driveway, one guy told the other guy, OMG that's a sweet Ranger.
Second story, got a text, a guy wanted to sell me his self propelled Cub Cadet, said he moved to country and had a rider,I offered $45 and he took it.The dog and me drove out to get it and he said what year is your Ranger it sure is in perfect condition? I told 2004 with 97,000 miles. He said you sure keep it nice. Anyway it made my day!

Thanks Roberto,it was one of my friends brother, didn't know him all that well. The older you get, the more time you spend in funeral homes and doctor offices. It could always be worse.I always tell my doggie,"see you in the morning,God willing" LOL!
