I took my Ranger in for it's annual emission and safety inspection and the guy at the testing location said, "I've heard of trucks being in showroom condition before, but this truck is in BROCHURE condition!"

I don't know if you can call it a compliment, but it was to me. My son and I were out cruising in the lovely weather today, we were playing opening the 5.0 up and let her talk. Straight pipes and 4" tips make a lot of racket... I had hammered on it from a stoplight, for probably a 1/2 mile or so, I had went by quite a few cars. As I pulled up to the next stoplight a lady in a mini van pulled up next to me and I could tell she was pissed.. She started screaming that I had a "pos redneck truck" and when I went by her I woke her kid up. Hahahaha. Sorry, not sorry my boy and I were having a blast! Lol!!!!

Yeah, had a similar experience. When I first went to register it failed the inspection- at the time I didnt know that OBD2 took about 40-100 miles to run all its tests. Id had the cables disconnected alot doing x, y and z. Anyways, rather than charging me for the fail the guy says "that truck is so clean im not going to fail it- just take it out and put 80 miles or so on it and come back." I did and it passed of course- only charged for one inspection.

right?! Just makes me smile even bigger when people get all pissy about MY truck and how it sounds or how I drive it...... The best had to be when a chick followed me home after I had been to a mud bog and called the cops saying I had been somewhere illegal and was a danger to everyone on the road. I laughed bc the cop that came was the neighbor from two houses down.... Hahahahaha. He knows me, watched me build my truck and is even in our local Truck club!

yup haha, we were out mudding somewhere we shouldn't have been, and my buddy got stuck. After we snapped a couple straps, turns out someone called the cops, he comes out and laughs and says "yup! I was just out here last weekend haha, I ain't gonna write you a ticket, but you should probably get out of here before the dnr shows up", absolutely makes my day, I guess we were being "loud and disruptive" when they called the cops.

Had rust protection applied to my truck, I got it back today, and the guy said that is the cleanest Ranger he's seen since doing rust protection on new ones for dealerships.
