I'm getting closer to getting my fabtech kit ordered but I want some extra safety so I'll be doing the heim swap at the same time. Camburg makes a pretty sweet one for our trucks

They are working great, they started making some noise but I lubed them with some dry silicone spray and its been good so far.
The camburg one is only the inner heim and you end up using the stock outers.

Install isnt too bad as long as you have basic mechanical knowledge and know how to turn a wrench. Price will be around 600 for these because they have custom machined pins for the outers, 4 heims, 4 misalignment spacers, 2 machined inner clevises, 4 weld in bungs plus the tubing and labor. IT adds up fast.

Never heard of that. As long as everything is tight in the knuckle it shouldnt wear out. I have custom machined pins that fit just like the ball joint taper.

Not sure why your tire would roll and an a arm would fail if you are running stock steering.
Fabtech kits are just fine as long as you know their limits. I have been running a fabtech spindle for years with no problems and really beat on the truck out in the desert. IF you have it all bumped/drooped correctly with decent shocks and know the limits of the truck it is just fine.

Mine is on the road 95% of the time and no problems here.

Correct, there is a lining inside the heim that can wear out
