Default Impact Wrench suggestions

I am wanting to buy an air impact wrench to use on my truck. I know I am going to use it to remove the tow package (tried today and couldnt go one of the bolts to move), on the bolts in the shackle and also on the body mount bolts. I am considering this one:

If there is room for your using it it should work. I would caution you to ues Safety "Goggles" instead of glasses because you will have rust/dirt coming off at you and your eyes need total protection from that. I failed to use goggles and got rust in my eye and it caused me to go to eye surgeon to have the rust removed.

Have you soaked the nuts with a rust remover like Liquid Wrench or WD 40. These are the two I know of but a rust removal product maybe over night and then extend your wrench's length with like a pipe to get extra torque?

PB Blaster and not even a little bit of a turn on it yet. and also for the body lift, I will need it. And I had to borrow one when I did my pinion seal replacement to get the pinion nut off. So I am seriously thinking of investing the money into one.

If you can spend a few extra bucks check this one out.

http://www.craftsman.com/craftsman-1...4&blockType=G4

Almost 600 lb-ft of torque, way more than the Kobalt one you linked. 350 lb-ft will fail to get it done often Ive found. I replaced my cheapy $30 impact with the one in the link and it has plenty of power. Its no Mac Ingersol or Snap-on but on a budged its a bad ass impact.

That does look like a good one. And thats what I am afraid about of the 350 lb-ft. So then is the one you did use before?

I have a craftsmen electric impact. I really like that thing. Its rated for 350lbs. I used it to remove the front pinion nut to replace a seal. It didnt zip it off but about 15 seconds it came right off.

I personally dont have enough air to run air tools...

No, my cheapy was a craftsman that came with my air compressor. It also was rated at 350. Wouldnt even buzz the lug nuts off my F150.

I do its risky but doable. Had to sell all my tools so had to use whatever sockets I got don't turn wrenches for a living anymore..

I used regular sockets for years before I got impact sockets, they worked fine. They get beat up yes but thats why I buy lifetime warranty only for sockets. As for a torque wrench, that wont get your hitch off, thats for tightening bolts down to a certain torque spec, not for removing bolts.
