So basically the only thing that is left of his grandpas truck are the body panels and some of the interior. No better way to honor a person than by making a franken-truck out of his ride!

Buying a 4x4 is the easiest option

Think of it this way. Maybe you want green carpet in your house, but it has some ugly red carpet. Are you going to install new green carpet, or just buy a whole different house that already has green carpet? What about those ugly purple shutters, or those rotting burlwood cabinets? Replace them, or buy a whole different house?

It's fine if you enjoy buying your trucks already built, but some of us like to build our own trucks. It's a little thing called personalization. While you're telling your friends all about buying your truck, he'll be telling his friends about how he built it. I personally find talking about building a truck much more interesting than buying a truck.

Make the truck into what you want. If your grandad was anything like mine he'd be proud.
