Re: Finished my Spare Tire Carrier tonight
ok, thats sweet, i have been looking at the prerunner ones that are tube tail gates and the tire mounts at an angle that way you still have most all of your bed, but the tire doesnt stick way out. but this looks sick too.

I dont really use my bed that much (hardly ever)...except for my offroad gear (chains, hi lift jack, tow straps, etc.)...I use my F250 for hauling firewood/plywood, etc.

I put the bolts up through like that so I could finish painting the top while the bottom was still partly wet. Then when I went to mount it, I flipped the bolts over and put them down through and bolted it through the bed.

Re: Finished my Spare Tire Carrier tonight
Nice work! One of these days I'm going to learn how to weld. There are so many projects I would like to do that, that would be handy for.

Re: Finished my Spare Tire Carrier tonight
Looks awesome. I have thought about putting a spare tire carrier in the bed of my truck but I use it to haul stuff and I think it would be in my way.

Re: Finished my Spare Tire Carrier tonight
Truck (Noun) any of various forms of vehicle for carrying goods and materials, usually consisting of a single self-propelled unit....
If the bed is filled with spare tire, it isn't a truck any more.
