I hope this is the appropriate section to post this. I have a 2Dcell maglight. And the light wasn't burning it's brightest, so I replaced the batteries tonight. Well It's still shining dull. I think it's the bulb. It was my Grandfathers light and he gave it to me. So does anyone know of a place that just sells bulbs for the maglights? Also! is it possible to get a led light conversion kit for them? Thanks!

Hardware stores should have bulbs, you can replace the clear lens with a red one and they can be found at military surplus stores

So basically Home Depot or Lowe's?

Did you check the bottom cap for the spare? Most of them have a spare bulb in the bottom cap

I have seen an LED light to convert the olders ones, don't remember where, unless I wasn't looking at the right thing? does any body else know if they sell LED to convert...?

Im getting one right now for my other mag lite. I got a new one for xmas, that LED is amazingly bright! Time to upgrade the other one!

spare is under the spring wrapped in foam in the old ones and the LED conversion will work with old ones my dad used it in a maglight that was like 20 years old
