Default Keeping your tools clean!!!!

Ok guys I have a few rusty tools. I need to get them clean and working agian. What do you guys use to clean your tools with? Rusty or not rusty?

WD-40 and a shop rag. if they are rusty use a 3M scotch brite pad to get the rust off them.

if it is just wrenches or sockets I take them to work and clean them in a caustic and acid tank. I then dip them in preservative.

Works great when you find tools at a gargae sale. You can clean them up and resale them.

Varsal works great. Also ATF. I've even used brake cleaner.

Rusty tools (not too rusty mind you) have character in my humble opinion. I just wipe them down to keep the grease and grime to a minimum. As long as they do the job they were designed to do, rust doesn't matter.
