Default skid plate

wantin to make my own skid plate but still be able to have my front bumper..has any one made one like this or ne ideas? post some pics and what ya did if ya can. thanks!

looks like ya just made a box out kinda and welded it all together then drilled it in?

main piece is just one that was heated up and bent, then angle iron for the mounting pieces, then just made pieces that fill the gap. Then there is a piece of square tubing inside to hold it's shape. I didn't drill any extra holes in the frame. The back two are the sway bar threaded holes then the front one is an elongated hole

camo's is like the beefiest design you can have. make one like his!

and ditch the sway bar and crank the tbars some and itll ride pretty nice

i wish i could, however its still under warranty so i cant yet but i do wanna build something like that cuz im taking a welding class this semester and hoping i can build some stuff for my truck

um dude...your taking off something thats not a super importaint part. if you bolt the skidplate on, you can easily take it off and throw the swaybar back on before you go to the dealer or something.

also, if you ever want help..i gotta welder and fabbin shit up is fun.

Not to be critical and I don't know if it matters but wouldn't it be better if the plate ran all the way down to the cross bar where the lower suspension arms mount?

that's why mine is mounted there because I wanted to cover the rack and pinion, the truck above isn't mine. Mine is on the first page.

i think having it mounted to the crossmember would just make it more usefull over all.

Beef08, go take ur swaybar off now. crank the tbars some. buy some metal. draw/measure up the dimensions. cut. weld. go wheelin!
