Pre-Runner Bumper
Hey! So I'm really big into the pre-runners looks and functionality. Eventually I want my 92 ranger to be one, but that's long in the future. For now however, I can get the look down: I want to build a pre runner type bumper, round tubing with a skid plate, maybe a few kc lights (or a light bar) and possibly a stinger. I have a design I like from a different user on the TRS forums.
That's his on a 88 I think.
The front of my 92 isn't to much different but it'll be a different fabrication. Really what I'm looking for is design plans, and or some measurements on tubing and thickness of tubing. Plus how do I mount a skid plate? I know there's a cross member under the hood that could be used, but I'll see what you guys can help me out with. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Re: Pre-Runner Bumper
This is my truck. Different year but same concept. I use 1.75x.120 mild steel. Use tabs to mount the skid plate.

Re: Pre-Runner Bumper
Just a tube going from one side of the frame to the other. I gave it a bend to make it sit lower. Thanks!

Re: Pre-Runner Bumper
I like it, but I don't have a tube bender so I might do small cuts on the tubing to bend it, then weld it together

Re: Pre-Runner Bumper
It seems easier, I'm terrible with a tube bender.. :/
----------
I still need to figure out how much material I'm going to need, and start designing it on paper with measurements

Re: Pre-Runner Bumper
That also is a good bumper design, like the winch idea. I do need to acquire one

Re: Pre-Runner Bumper
I'm at my friends at the moment installing a new exhaust, but soon I'll come up with a design for the bumper!
