Default Raise driver seat height?

Greetings all,
I found a number of posts related to seat swaps but I actually like my seat. It just doesn't like me. I just purchased a 95 Ranger 4x4 ext cab 5 speed 3.0 that I absolutely love. It's my first truck. My problem is that I'm just over 5 ft tall (thanks mom and dad) and need to sit higher. Rather than sitting on a pad I'd like to raise the driver seat. My idea is to replace the seat track bolts with longer bolts and insert some type of spacers. Before doing his I wanted to see if anybody has done this or has advice. Thanks much!

I have not heard if this being done, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

I would use longer bolts with spacer bars for more stability

Longer bolts and 2x4's. Had a friend do it in his s10. No issues at all.

I doubt it will work on a Ranger. The front two seat bolts sit at an angle. if you space those out, the seat will move closer to the dash, and that will keep the rear seat brackets from lining up with the holes in the floor.

Front seat bolt:

Seat foam crushes and goes flat over time, and will cause one to sit lower in the seat than when new. This is especially true if fatties have owned your vehicle in the past. So before raising your seat in some way that is adverse to crash worthiness (the manufacturer bolts the metal seat frame directly to the metal floor for good reason, the bolt location on the floor was not an accident or a guess) you might want to evaluate the condition of your seat and possible repairs to it before before unwinding the crash worthiness of your vehicle.

The seats are bolted to the tracks which are riveted to the floor mounts. You can use square tubing and longer bolts to raise the seat. The previous owner did this to my ranger, I had the opposite problem so I had to lower the seats back to the stock location.

Thanks all for the suggestions. After sitting in another Ranger a few days ago it appears that the foam in my seat is really broken down. I may try new foam before attempting to insert spacers. Happy thanksgiving. Lou
