What material did you use on the shackle mounts? looks uuber tiny like 1/4". lol. Otherwise, one of the best and only rear bump's that I actually like.

Haha they are from the hitch. We used the mounting points and didnt cut the excess off, I was thinking of just drilling a hole near the weld, and cut a portion off. But I have a bad feeling they will bend if I pull sideways. I just dont know where to get weld-on Shackle Mounts or how expensive they are. But for now it's better than NO bumper, at least I can wrap the straps around something strong lol.

As for the design of the bumper. I thought 2" square steel was a bit big, but I like how it came out. What I like even more is the cost ot it haha

It looks good, but I think the bumper would look better with the license plate mounted on it, not hanging from it... it just looks a bit out of place. Do you have anything behind your license plate to keep it from bending?

I wish I had the ability to fab my own stuff. I've only got room for my wood working equipment and wooden bumpers just ain't the same.

Looks really good. I would def. find a better way to mount the plate, just to give it a complete look. Also I wouldn't worry about d-rings. Just get one of the shackles that slides into the hitch, or even cheaper would be to just use the hitch pin.

The plate is temporary until I have time to fix it, it's only zip-tied to the bumper.

i like it a lot. it just feels a little empty i would think about putting a sheet of metal behind it to block off the veiw under the truck or something. i dont know. just feels a little unfinished.
