Question: need to replace piece if frame, dont know the name of the piece.
Can someone please tell me what the rotted piece in the middle is called so I can get a new one? Thanks.

Its a cross member, specifically the bed mount one.

No. Just 6 bolts under your bed liner, disconnect the filler neck for the tank (only 3 bolts, and disconnect the tail lights. My bolts were stripped so I had to grind them out but it only took about an hour. If that.

socal = Southern California. Land of drought, no water and no snow to put salt on during the winter.

So exact opposite of me, northern New Hampshire. Lots of snow, water, and an overbearing amount of salt to torture my frame.
How does that work? Would you just ship it?

Yea I lived in Detroit for most of my life, thankfully my truck is a Virgin SoCal truck...
Yea I could ship it no problem. Just figured if you needed a cleaner and hopefully cheaper solution I know of a salvage yard here where there is a small abundance of rangers amazingly enough.

Not sure.. Ill be heading to the salvage yard on Wed so I can get at least an idea.. Even at 6"2.. I dont think I can get away with crotching it and walking out.... lmao
