Default mid frame crossmember

I tried searching here and on the internet. But I need help. My med frame cross member is begining to break and my fuel strap popped out of its mount. So I think its time especially with the weather getting nicer. So my question is where can I find this cross member. Its the one on the rear of the tank that the rest straps hook into. I have a 2000 ranger ext cab. I just need to find a replacement part. Thank you for your time.

I tried I looked a two junk yards and they're pretty shot. The spare tire carrier I don't use because I have big tires. So I was just going to make something in placement of that. I just need the one for the fuel tank. Especially because it has the strap slot in it. Does anyone know of any websites or places I can order these. Because the junk yards are worth crap around here. Everything's in bad shape ahah

I tried those links you posted and the website hasn't worked in weeks and I messaged the fb page and haven't heard anything back. I guess I'll wait. And in the mean time keep searching for used ones on junked rangers. I have some time as I'm not looking to do it this weekend. I just want the park. So I can slowely start taking the truck apart.

What your lookin to do IS A BIG JOB, as the crossmember is held in place with 16+ rivets that hold it in place AND tie the front frame section to the rear!

I've removed it in a 98 I had while back as I was lookin to put a 95 cab on the 98 chassis, and was goin to move the rear section forward 4" to keep from havin a 4" gap between the cab & bed.

Dependin on where yours is cracked, you might just want to weld some flat stock to both sides of the crack & hit it with some rust protectant/undercoatin.

Do you mean this shiny silver one that's about 1.5 feet behind the cab?
What's the problem with replacing it? It would be a simple job on my '97 truck.

====================
97 back are 1 piece frames, 98 up are 2 piece frames like I pictured, and that cross member is mounted by the same rivets that hold the 2 frame sections together.

I don't think its holding the frame together. It just holds the exhaust mount and the rear tank strap. I've had the bed off and looked at it. And I crawled under it and it doesn't seem I have a two piece frame.

Well, the crossmember is only held in there with two rivets on the top flat section of the c channel and two on the bottom flat. The four on the side only hold the overlapping frame rails together, as well as the front spring perch.

I'm in the process of fabbing that crossmember on a 2003 4x4 XLT.

Pics

I've since had to slightly alter that x member because of alignment issue and I haven't uploaded the pics yet. I think it

there is a possibility to consider. if you do not want to weld a patch on the unit you have. the auto wreckers here in canada have cross country inventory system. i assume in the us is the same so see if you can buy a crossbeam from a southern us state like arizona that does not salt much. should be almost like new.
