Default Paint gun recommendations

I've been looking at painting my edge bumper/valance and probably a hood along with a stepside bed so i think i'll invest in a spray gun. I don't want to spend a crazy ton of money on one, then again i want to get a quality paint job. Painting black isn't the easiest i hear. You guys recommend a gun?

I'm not looking at a show-car quality mirror finish as my truck isn't one, but it'd be nice to get a good quality finish.

SATA makes some of the best, and its priced to match.
Pick your paint out and see what they recommend for tip size before you buy a gun.

This is a mid priced setup with some options. Devilbiss makes a quality gun as well, shop around read reviews from pros. Trucks on spiketv has good info once in a while on painting. Look into some of thier back eps on spikes website.

I always believed you got what you paid for but this gun changed my mind. I bought this unit and larger cup years ago. I painted an 88 fiero, 89 Mustang and 97 S10 pick up. All three came out with dealership quality. I sprayed base-clear. The gun looks cheap (made in china) because it is, but with proper cleaning and adjustment it has served me fine. I’ve sprayed with devilbiss, Sharps, Binks, and HVLP and Airless, this gun works as well as of them.
