Default Ford Ranger Flatbed

Decided I didn't want to replace my front cross member on my bed so I decided to build a flatbed. I would get more use out of it anyways on the farm. I put POR-15 the frame(messy stuff) and replaced both rear leaf spring shackles and brackets. Have around $600 in the build and 2 weeks of random hrs in it. Thanks for Looking

That's cool! Looking like doing something like this for my ranger. Care to do a write up? Dimensions and other other things would really help me out

Here's pics of mine. If your hoping to maintain fuel efficiency go easy on the steel. My bed is crazy heavy. Otherwise, I look forward to seeing the end result!

Yeah my bed is completely rusting through down the right side. I have a 4.0 so fuel economy really doesn't exist with my situation. I just am curious the width and length of your flatbeds?

Default Re: Ford Ranger Flatbed

I made mine 6'8" long and its 5'10" wide with the stake pockets. I used 2"x3" ⅛"wall rectangle tube for the outside of the frame, 1½"x1½" ⅛" wall square tube for the floor supports, and 2"x2" ⅛" wall square tube that run parallel to the frame.
