Default Roof basket build

I want to build a roof basket that is not going to be screwed into the roof of my truck. Therefor I want to use my headache rack to mount the basket. I already have my headache rack bolted to my bed (Yup that'll make some cringe) with 2 half inch bolts on each support and the supports are 2"X2". Honestly I'd rip my bed off before that headache rack moved. I want to add bed rails attached to the rack and add supports that will attach to the roof rack. Any ideas on building a roof rack and how to make this work?

look at Taco forums, they have guys that create baskets that hang on the headache rack and don't touch the truck cab. There's a kid on here actually selling one like that, that he built. If you have welding skills, you can totally built one. Some 18 Gauge piping and some imagination, and bam. I built my roof basket custom to house a 30" LED bar up front and a couple pod LED lights to really brighten up campsites or the roads at night.

I'd been wondering if anyone else had thought about this one, I'm building a headache rack right now and had the thought cross my mind, but never got serious with it. maybe I should look into it a bit more, eh? lol

This guy came up with a good one.
Not a Basket, but you could probably adapt it to fit your needs.
