That leak sucks. Clean that area up and pressure test the cooling system. Could be intake gasket but you're probably right about timing cover. To answer the question about fan clutch, use a pneumatic hammer on a lip of the left side the clutch nut and bbbbrrrrraaaaapppp; 2 seconds and it's loose enough to turn by hand.
