We use Matco at work they get us a good deal when we buy something.

They have tried snap on and craftsman but they just don't last as long. They usually don't pass the 4 month certification we have to do on them, for the quality program we are involved in.

I don't personally use my stuff as a hammer. I hate having to spend the money to buy new. Now I can not speak for other people. I have seen them use their impact gun as a hammer.

I can see a military person using anything as a hammer. I know I would if I had bullets or rockets passing over my head.

im a mechanic and my recomendation is to stay away from wornwell if your going to use it alot but for everynow and then then the kobalt would be ok. but my professional opinion is to spend the money on a snap, mac or a matco. with tools you really do get what you pay for. i say stay away from cornwell because i bought a rachet from them and it seemed like i was having to have it warrentied every other week.
