I am needing to get all the clear coat off my hood so it can be prepped for paint, all I have is a few 3m sanding sponges in these grits : 60,100,150. WHICH IS RECCOMENDED TO GET ALL THE CLEAR COAT OFF? Thanks godbless

none...that is way way too coarse...go get some 220,320 and 400..and you dont need to strip all of the clear off for paint unless it is de-laming

then attack it with 220 to get all of the paint off, follow up with 320 to get all the 220 scratches out, then follow with 400 to get the 320 scratches out, prime then paint

I always use a block not sponges, sponges can leave groves from uneven pressure. Just my .02 cents.
