I have tested this over and over with many many trips from CT to Vermont in rain, blizzards, ice storms, fog, and mud slides. The cheap junk wiper blades are the only ones that work.

Thanks for the reply! Those cheapie ones really do work pretty good, I agree; they're just more flexible. I might go back to them if I keep having bad luck with the new styled ones.

I'm using the Michelin Optimum frameless wiper blades and love them. The very end of the passenger side one doesn't completely touch the windshield on the very tip when its in the resting position but other then that they work great in all kinds of weather.

Its interesting how some wipers work great for some and the same ones don't work for others...surely the windshields aren't that different.

i just use "winter" style wipers year 'round. They are heavier, so they work better at high speeds and windy conditions.

The cheapo framed wipers I have on the truck now start to chatter and hop once I exceed 75mph. Other than that, they stay on the glass nicely.

i had the "framless" bosch wipers, and they worked great. They did cost me 20 bucks a piece, but now i have some of the cheapo ones and they streaked on the windshield straight out of the box

I went to the store today and picked up a single, slightly shorter length of the Michelin Optimum just hoping that if might be 'good enough' even if not perfect for the passenger side. I never installed it, but did open it up and pressed it against the windshield to get an idea of how it might lay. Unfortunately, I don't think going shorter will help enough. So it's going back to the store.

I'm thinking about giving the Rain-X Latitude a try, but I kinda hate returning stuff to stores when things don't work out. So maybe not.

My guess is that I'll just end up going with the old, standard metal frames for now. We'll see, I guess.

Those Bosch ones have separate model numbers for the driver and passenger sides, don't they? Maybe that's the trick. I'll have to keep those in mind for if ever I do decide to pursue the frameless wipers again in the future. (I think the frameless style would be somewhat nice to have in the Winter during heavy snow days.) Thanks!

I'm not sure about that, but they worked awesome. Even with the windshield being sprayed with the occasional mud I got ~2 years worth of life out of them, and they weren't completely shot then. I'm just pissed that I couldn't afford another set of them at the time.

Same here.

I work with some ex Walmart employees also, and they say Walmart is very, very cheap-be careful what you buy.
