Default Stepside mounting bracket

I am wondering if anyone has any pictures of the point were the side steps mount to the frame or whatever it is they mount to.

Both my steps are flapping in the wind because the metal rusted out underneath them.
From what it looks like there used to be some sort of metal the side steps clipped to but I could be wrong.

For a low price, my local body shop fabricated a bracket which they secured to the frame to tighten down the step on my driver side. The repair made it strong again, though I do not stand on those as a rule.

I had them make it up and put it in place because I do not weld. I think it was a simple and easily done modification. They took up the black plastic in order to hide the bolt. No one would know it is repaired until they look close underneath.

Hmm maybe I should call around a bit. I would like to be able to stand on them again though. They were extremely handing when trying to load as much yard crap as possible into the bed.

Just wanted to give this a bump to see if anyone could get a pic of the mounting location.
