Tying Down 2 Dirtbikes in Your Bed
How would i strap these 2 down? My friend rode his bike to my house and we loaded the bikes into my bed as a "test run" before we left on a trip. We got the bikes up there, but really didnt have a set plan on how to tie them down, and with our luck it started raining as we were figuring it out. Any suggestions on tie down points and such?

either side of the handle bars down to the tie downs up front, go under the fenders if possible, then go from the outside handle bar to the back tie down, 6 straps total. IT might help to put something in front of one bike to stagger the handle bars a little bit.

Re: Tying Down 2 Dirtbikes in Your Bed
I have never hauled 2 dirtbikes in my ranger, but have done so on various trailers and full sized truck beds countless times. What I usually do is get a stout length of roap and tie the two handelbars together on the inside to hold the bikes together, then strap the ouside of the bars (by the triple clamp) to the truck bed with tie downs. It is kind of like strapping one bike down. I usually run a tie down or two other places just to be safe. Good luck!

Maybe one over both seats as well. It could help.

Been there, done that. Just put a strap on each of the handlebars and run them to each side of the bed on the hooks bolted to the side of the bed

Ive hauled 3 in my longbox. You can do 2 bikes with 4 straps no problem. Hook the straps from the stake holes to the handlebars. So one strap will cross from the stake hole on the drivers side to the handlebar of the bike on the passenger side, and so forth.
2 straps per bike is all you need

A few weeks ago I hauled 3 bikes in the back of mine. A cr250, kx 125, and kxf 450. I didn't think it would fit but it did and the bikes didn't really rub at all. Had to get tricky with the straps but it all worked out good.

Wait so one strap will cross from drivers side over to the passengers going over the handlebars? Or one strap on each side of the bar going to whatever side its on. Sorry that i cant really understand what to do, i just dont want to mess it up

Ok, its kinda hard to explain but I will try my best. There will be 2 straps in the stake hole on the drivers side. One will cross over and hook to the handlebars of the bike on the passenger side, the other will hook onto the handlebar of the bike on the drivers side of the bed. Then there will also be 2 straps in the stakehole on the passenger side of the bed. One will cross over to the handlebars of the bike on the driers side, and the other will go straight up to the handlebars of the bike on the passenger side. If I wasnt on my phone at work Id hop on microsoft paint and draw a quick diagram, lol. Hope that makes a little more sense
