I want to get a set of Hella 500 lights and mount them behind my grille, and have them so they turn on with my highbeams. To do this would i just have to run the wire to the fuse for my highbeams? Thanks

the hella 500 kit comes complete that when you wire it up, can choose from A: parking, B: Low beam or C: high beam lights to tap into. from the relay and harness provided, a wire runs to the highbeam (or whatever light source you choose) and you splice into that wire. you'll still need a switch, but you can keep the switch in the "on" position all the time and the lights will come on and off with the high beams.

ok thanks a lot. also hella 500 lights are considered driving lights so they wouldnt be too bright for street use would they.

in the state of kansas you can only have 4 lights (headlight,foglights,etc) on while driving. other wise it is illegal in most states to drive with more than 4 headlights on. and our cops around here will pull you over for anything!

yes, they are considered street legal, but you still have to wire them up to the high beams (unless you get the hella 500 FOG lights)
