Default How much will this cost to fix?

On way to work yesterday a tree came falling down on top of a power line and it caused a line to come down right on top of my truck with me in it! Here's a few pics of the damage. Anyone know about how much it will cost to fix this? Or how much a new bed would cost? Also have around 8-9 streaks of burnt paint where the lines touched. Coming out of power company's pocket.

Def get a new bed. Junkyard prob about 250-400 bucks gonna need the door painted that would prob be 3-600 depended on the shop. I would go get a high estimate then get the check pick up a used bed and get the hole truck painted at once

I'm getting a full estimate tomorrow. I have around 8 more of those black burn marks like on the door. Including both front fenders and sides of truck

I hope insurance would cover that....and i think the power company or city should have to cover that.....it shouldnt have to go thru your insurance....
If you were in the vehicle..u could have been killed....someone has to pay the piper on that !!!

If the power company doesnt want to pay...this has lawsuit all over it!

----
Edit...
I see u already mentioned the power company is paying..so thats a plus!!

i know thats probably too big of an indent but I've used hammers and rubber hammers to get dents out, it may crack the paint, but at least the dent won't be there.

The tree came down on the power line and the power line and tree hit your truck. Power company is not responsible for the tree coming down. That is mother nature, you will have to put a claim in to her.

Actually the power company is at fault. They were responsible for trimming trees around their lines. The tree that fell was overgrown over the road and onto their line. Already spoke to them and only way it way it could be ruled as a act of nature is if we had weather than contributed such as strong wind. They have already accepted fault

Go to ford and price out a bed and paint. Make sure it gets painted with a base and clear not the cheap enamel crap

Well folks power company's insurance has declared my ranger totaled. I'm getting with them tomorrow to decide what to do. I'm either going to buyback ranger and fix it or start fresh with a newer one. Thinking about a 2004-2007 4x4. Will lift it of course haha

Your truck looks like a new bed and paint, if you can get them to give you cash for a new truck and keep yours and fix it you can do some serious upgrades and 5.0 for sure!
