Okay, so my tailgate handle must have slipped off the device that pulls the tension rods to open the tailgate because as hard as i pull, the tailgate wont open....im not sure what i should do, and my tonneau is shut and locked from inside the bed so i cant get at it that way...suggestions?

no dont do that lol if your tonneau is the ones with velcro or snaps on the side simply reach in and unlock it, another thing is taking a flat head and try to undo the latches on the sides of the tailgate

ive tried to get the flat head in there, but it wont fit... and i have a tri-fold cover that locks from the inside of the bed, under the bed rails.. :/

i wouldn't do anything crazy till you absolutely have to get your bed..

true, i think my options are to

A)Cut my tonneau
B)Drill through and cut off my handle?
C) cut through the sides of the tailgate

and if you have to cut the cover, you could fashion yourself a handle on it or something.. and you may be better off cutting the tailgate and just getting a new one from a junk yard, if you could find one that is...

drill two holes in the tailgate open it and were the holes are put in lights so that way if someone is tailgating, you can flash them

knock out the handle in the tailgate use some long needle nose pliers and open that bitch up!

Get some 1/8"x1" flat stock and bend it up..... slip it under the cover and hit the latch on the cover. This will be easy to do "IF" you are familiar with the latch location/operation on the cover.
