Removing Factory Bed Caps
Need some help. Have been searching but can't really find much. I have the factory bed rail caps on my '01 XLT. I am looking to buy a topper for my truck, soon, and need to take these off. Any input on how to go about this? I can't figure it out

should be held on with a few screws and some clips

|
Remove the plastic oval things that pop out on the inside of the rail, then use an Allen wrench to loosen the bolts, that will release the clamps, then the rails can be pulled off.

They have clamps that secure with Allen head screws and then they are snapped into the stake pockets.
