hey I was just curious. any one ever modded there rear sliding window into electric instead of opening it manually?

I have been thinking of doing that. Am going to take my regular non slider.... and make it retract...like the divider window in a limo. thought it would be cool.....could get the tracks / parts from a four runner or a benz station wagon....one of the couple ideas i have kicking around. Also have been thinking of putting "puddle lights" in the bottom of the doors so when the doors open and the dome comes on a light will shine from the under the door onto the ground....just whats going thru my head.

I think I remember someone taking the rear window out of a sport trac and putting it into a ranger, not a direct fit but like anything else you can make it work.

You can always go with a "inexpensive" 12 volt linear acutator and make some brackets. It will work fine but it will not look as good as a custom unit.
