Default Hid issue ztec lights

Just installed H.I.D lights from ztec they are low and high 6000k diamond white having an issue where when my head lights are on the brights show as being on, moving the brights to on has no effect on the lights. I hooked everything up right. There is one blue plug that plugs into my orignal factory wires where the bulb came out .

Sorry for this double post. I posted earlier on my phone. I am at my pc now. I can flash my brights when the headlights are off via lever, but I turn on the lights on and I have no control over the brights. The big blue bright light indicator stays on the dash, turning my headlights to the bright mode, just makes the little icon brighter.

Anyone have any ideas? Is there a trick for this? Am I missing something here? Do I remove a fuse, what?

Theres nothing to switch around? I don't know what is left. Everything fits into one plug. The short side goes to the battery, and the long side to the passenger side of the vehicle. I got the ballast plugged into the right plugs (they only fit into one plug) I mean I could I could swap them around but how could swap them around? Its the ZTEC kit, it looked really easy.

It's high low kit I'm sure paid 175 for it. The regular one was 125. Which wires would need to be swapped which wire controls what which one is the switch. I can take pics tomorrow if some one could give me a hand. I don't know how to even go about changing them if I chane them around.

Black goes into the middle hole, red goes into the right hole and your extra goes into the left hole

I only have one of those plugs it's on the driver side, I just left the other side hanging out of the way. Also I have 3 prongs rather then two. I'll take a pic tomorrow.

yes I know, i have a Hi/Lo kit on my truck as well, like I said in my previous post that's how you are supposed to wire it so your Hi's and Lo's work.

I got you on that part but like I said, mine only has one of those blue plugs shown in your picture. It has 3 wires, and none of them are the colors you show here, on neither my ranger or the one coming from the relay that came with the HID kit. Heres some pics, hope this helps get me going in the right direction.

This is the driver side, and thats the only blue plug like that, that I have. You seem to have two. That is odd. I know I paid for an Hi/Lo kit. 175 bucks off Ztec's website. I will be returning this entire kit if this is not what its suppose to be, because the regular ones were 125. Someone please explain how I am to have these wires wired up. Surely I don't have to rewire everything. I was thinking it'd be a simple put this wire out here, and put it there trick. I just want to know which wire controls the brights... as of right now it is showing my brights on full time, which I can tell you cannot be. Thanks for the help so far hope these pics help put things in perspective.

The kit even shows only one hook up - in the book.. It shows two little pins that come off the side that are the hi/lo control wire, but they will only hook in one way. It said something about reversing the polarity of them, if the lights failed to work at all, but nothing in terms of how to deal with the brights not working. I only have one. I thought that'd be all that was needed... at least according to the ztec book.

He only has one blue plug because the controller runs off of a Relay kit. So yes it will work just fine, The relay runs from factory switch, to each ballast then to each bulb like so

From looking at your pic your wiring should go
White, Black, Red looking from Left to right
