Help guys so i ordered 10K hids and dont really want them in the stock reflectors. What do you think of these

Would it be worth it to buy these and do a retrofit or to buy a projector housing from jc whitney not the eBay crap. In your opinion what is better? And if i do a retrofit, how hard is it from 1-10 and how long does it take? Also do i need to buy new bulbs to fit the projector?

Jcwhitney IS eBay crap. Any projector that TRS sells will blow the eBay/jc Whitney crap out of the water. I had the mini d2s on the truck in my avatar, they were phenomenal.

But 10k HIDs will blow either way, shoulda gotten 5-6k so you'd have useable light.

Retrofitting might be cheaper with the mini d2 its 110. How hard is it to install them? Im 17 so dont have much experience yet lol and if i dont like the 10k ill get a 6k bulb

I did search and saw your thread about it but how hard is it to install? I dont wanna order them and mess up the housing and have to buy new ones

a projector retrofit will give you the best light output and NOT blind other drivers like plug and play HID kits do.

it take 2-3 hours to do a simple retrofit (Mini H1 or mini D2S projectors)

your year ranger will need a new set of headlights to retrofit, you need clear lenses for the output to work well. The fluted lenses on the 98-2000 rangers will not work with a retrofit projector.

The retrofit itself is very strait forward, bake the headlights open them up drill out the bulb fittings and drop in the projector, aim, wire and seal the headlights.

oh and like others have said, get 4300K temp bulbs 10k is just useless.
