Question Front valance. Fog Lights or No Fog Lights?

I don't have a spot on my valance for fog lights. Well, the place to mount the fog lights is there. The wires for fog lights are there. The holes in the valance for the fog lights are NOT. I have been thinking about cutting my own holes and installing some fog lights. I haven't decided if I want factory fogs or aftermarket. Hopefully, I will get some suggestions here.

Well you could buy the right valance for the truck to accept factory fog lights.

Just because the wires are there don't mean it will be plug and play.

i would, i think it looks better with some more lights on there.
my old truck i had 2 kcs on the front and 2 fogs. it looked nice.
im planning on drilling my own holes on my front bumper, or im going to buy a light bar, that extends 3 kcs out infront of my truck.

If I buy a direct replacement with fog lights already in, does that mean it would be so called plug and play?

No

You will need a radio bezel with foglight switch. You more than likely do not have the wiring from the radio bezel area to the dist. box under the hood where they relay would be. And you would need a relay cause that wont be there either.

So, wouldn't it be easier for me to install aftermarkey fogs and cut the holes and mount them myself?

Here is my setup, All my lights cost me aprox 60 bucks. There are aftermarket ones cheaper than others depending on brands you decide to get. And seeing as though i bought all mine for ~$60 their gonna be cheaper than "new stock" ones.. Mounting ideas are endless, use ur imagination....!

Just get a 98-00 4x4 valence and put it on

Or get an 01-03 edge bumper with fogs

I like your style and setup. I just want to keep my valance. I like the way it looks and I think it would look even better with fog lights. I can still mount them like yours. Thanks for the advice buddy.

DAMN! Nice truck man. Great idea. Did your wiring harness match right up and work or did you have to add some wires and stuff?

Well... I got the 98 4x4 valence in a kit that isn't made anymore, the kit came with the wiring harness, valence, fogs and misc relays and switch. As far as wiring I'm not sure on a stock truck.

I did all mine on regular flip switches in the dash and wired them myself off the battery
