Default cab lights, question

I have my cab lights installed and currently sharing a rocker switch with my aftermarket fog lights. Is there anyway I can wire my cab lights into the parking light wires under the hood, if so where do i find the wires under the hood? I tried taking apart my cluster bezel to access my light switch but it was a pain in the ass and didn't want to mess with it, being its a 2000. Can anyone here help me with this issue, i really don't want to have to have my fogs on at all times when i have my parking lights on. I just want the fogs to come on when needed.

you can tap into your parking light wire under the hood. find the wire and use a wire tap.

Tap into corner lights or the parking / running lights. I taped into the corner lights on my truck for my cab lights.

Do I need a wire tap? Or can I just wire twist and use heat shrink butt splice?

I would recommend a wire tap. It will be secure and is much easier than cutting and twisting the three wires together, then solder and heat shrink tube.

if you wire it in through the headlight switch you can do the cruse controll pod light fix while you're in there. it's kinda a pain in the ass to get to but not terrable, and worth it!
