installed some auxiliary lights
hooked up so when the shifter is in reverse the lights come on.

5k 55watt hids
LEDs in the mudflaps. connected to brakes/turn

just wired them into the brake lights. drilled a hole in the flap and screwed them to it. easy as can be

I used a relay.
ran a power wire to it then to the lights. to switch the relay on/off I tapped into the reverse lights.

Very original on the flap lights
Watch those cheap harbor freight foglights...I had mine mounted just like that and one broke off out of the blue. the bolt just sits in the plastic housing so when the plastic gets cold and brittle the bolt just snapped through.

I know this isnt cost effective, but perhaps those red LED bar lights you mount underneat the tailgate would be a good ideas as well. I know I want one

I wanted one also but the two lights I got for $3.50 a pc is a lot cheaper than the $35+ for the light bar
