Hey Kyle

I'd really like to see pics of your 500 Rubicon in the back of your Ranger. It would be pretty much the same size as my 450 Foreman.

Cheers

Does anyone have any pic's with this ATV ( or similar ) in the box of there Ranger? Please post pics if you've got any. My ATV is 4 feet wide, so I believe it will have to ride up over the wheel wells. Once over the wheel wells do the ATV foot boards fit between the wheel wells? ATV has a front mount Warn winch as well (fairlead protudes from front of ATV a bit) I just want to make sure while loading, I don't smash out the rear slider window in my truck. Does the tailgate need to be down or up for this size ATV? Any truck box platform mods needed to load this ATV?

Thanks Jeff
I have a kodiak 450 4x4. It fit, but damn it was a tight fit. I wound up buying a trailer.

Here is a pic of my truck and atv. It fit in the back of the truck, but it was a very tight fit. That is why I bought a trailer.

Hey nice Buck! I to have a galvanized ramp trailer for the ATV / Dirt Bike. But I want to have the ability to bring my boat trailer or RV Trailer with the ATV in the box of my Ranger at the same time.

Did you get your ATV in with the tailgate up or down (closed / open)?

Had to leave it down. It lacked about 6 inches from being able to close.

hey, has anyone got any more pictures of atvs in the back of ranger? My big question is, does the truck sag a lot because of the 650 lbs? Not sure how tough the suspension is.. I own a 2007 Honda 420 and I am planning on buying a 2010 Ranger Sport 4x4.

My truck did not sag much as I got traction bars bolted to leafsprings which helps keep rearend from sagging. It was very tight width wise as mine is a stepside. But it fits with toolbox and tailgate down!!!

My 350 drops mine to the ground like a bad lowering job...doesn't feel safe.

I would sooner save the back window of the Ranger and the wheel wells i put up the same kind of post on here. But i figure for the price of a trailer wich is really cheap look at Canadian Tire, Wal-Mart, or a trailer place. I baught a 5x10 trailer with a ramp that comes off for 1850 Canadian. That price I save the truck box and got a neet utlity trailer wich i can tow with a quad lol.

Yep it's great to have a ramp trailer as well (I to have a galvinized ramp trailer, I bought new for $1,200CND, love it for other uses / ice shack in trailer and ATV in truck box for example). But purchasing a headache / back rack is a much cheaper solution for the window protection issue.

Towing a trailer with an ATV in it, does not allow you the option to tow your boat or RV with you at the same time as carrying your ATV in the truck box.

This of course is not everyone elses delema (but was one of my delemas for sure). I like to go hunting / camping with both the RV and ATV and cottage with both boat and ATV at the same time.
