Exclamation Low to High Beam switch problem?? :(

So recently I noticed a delay when switching from low to high beams where the the low beams would turn off, and the high beams wouldn't come on for a few seconds. Now it's getting worse where the high beams won't come on at all.

I've noticed that it has something to do with the head light switch not "clicking" into the right place.'It is either not going far enough to engage the high beams or it is going just a bit too far. If I move it in either direction just a bit sometimes I can get it into a "sweet spot" where the high beams will turn on.

Is there an easy fix? Is it just the wiper/blinker/head light switch that needs to be replaced? If so what is that part called. I usually buy from advanced auto because I'm able to find great deals there, but I'm not sure of the actual name of the part.

Anyway, any help is appreciated as I could not find info when searching.

Thanks!

I had a similar problem a few years ago. Replaced the turn signal switch. Fixed it right up.

Thanks for reply. Moreover, thanks for making your first post for me! Welcome by the way.

Could it be covered under this recall?

Edit: found a more official link to the recall.

Not sure why this was moved to exterior tech... The switch is inside the cab. Did I miss something?
