^^ sorry, but your logic makes no sense. Cars that were designed as hardtops are ment to be safe, and cars that are designed as convertibles are designed to be safe. Now when you start hacking roofs off a hardtop to make a convertible, that's when problems arise.
Factory convertibles have beefed up pillars.

Yea yea I know that...but still with out a Freaking TOP!!! The only thing u have is the supports for the windshield!!!
And show me one, just give me one news story report of a home made convertible rollover???
And then find all the other hundreds of reports of non-convertible rollovers and how many died in those...

What is your problem? I told him that he'll die if it rolls over without a roof. This is fact. I'm not debating whether you might die some other way. I didn't say you'll never die as long as long as you leave the roof on. Calm down.

Yeah I know..but why do u assume he doesn't know that without a roof he will die??
If I get into a wreck with a semi truck while on my motorcycle, I will "probably" die...i don't need someone else to tell me that..
Its like telling someone, hey if u go skydiving, u might hit the ground and die..if u don't use a parachute lol.
We had a similar argument in the Rangers with Sunroofs thread..they were like that's not safe...thank you mr. Sherlock Holmes. Lol.
People do stupid and unsafe stuff all the time..and survive....lol.

Factory convertibles have reinforced A pillars and, if needed, some type of roll bar in the back to prevent head injuries. I'm not shooting down the idea, only pointing out a possible concern. Depending on how it's done, a convertible truck will look good.

Not to mention some have seats that are taller then stock and reinforced to act as a rollbar for the seat occupant.
