Wait.....

did the grille shell "ear" break off? Or did the metal 'clip' just come off?

If just the metal clip, mine does it on every single one. Just pop it out of the header panel and push it back onto the grille shell's mounting "ears". Install of grille is a snap....literally.

If you only broke one of the plastic tabs then you should be ok. I snapped one of mine off when I was painting my grille and when I put it back in the fit was tight enough to keep it snug fitting to the surround. But as mientioned above if it's a metal clip just slide it back in the hole.

If it is the plastic piece the metal part clips onto. Get some of that plastic "weld" stuff and secure it back

I removed my grille from the surround just to be thorough.
