Default Mounting Lights On Top of the Toolbox?

I just came up with this idea... 1. is it possible? 2. do you think it would look good?

like have 2 off road lights mounted on top of the toolbox lid facing towards the back and have them kinda on the edge so that when you opened the toolbox they wouldn't hit the cab window... let me know what yall think.
thansk

Seems like a good idea, but I would be worried that the light might not make it to where you want it. I think the tail gate would be in the way. Test it out first.

I think they would still hit the window...unless you put them on tabs and have them hanging off the very side...

Not to mention it'll move and twist on the lid. or the side of the box maybe.

Here's a better idea. Brackets mounted to the toolbox that the lights attach to. Better question: WHY? You know how ugly it'll look with random lights mounted in the middle of the bed, half way up the cab height??? headache rack it!! (if you want backward aimed high mounted lights. If not, get someting hanging below the bumper.

gosh i hope that made sense. Im sooo tired right now.

I'm with Shane. Go buy a Protech like you talked about man... You won't be disappointed, and can add lots of backward facing lights.. Like me!
