Angry Rear Window Replacement help...

Hey everyone, it's been a while.

Anyway, my rear slider window was broken into yesterday, but the thieve(s) didn't have time to get away with anything, because nothing was missing, although I didn't have anything of any real value in it at the time.

As you most know, it's a 2002 Mazda B2300 reg. cab, with a stock slider window (the slider, and the portion behind the driver are out) and a rubber gasket around the whole exterior edge.

Does anyone know a way around the ~$200 fix by window replacement business's that I'm quoted from? I would not mind at all a regular back window instead of a slider.

Also, does anyone know if this can be a DIY project if I get the glass cut from a template I could make and then put it in myself with some generic rubber surround and some kind of epoxy sealant or something?

Thanks,
-TD

Check out the junkyards and see if any of them have a rear window to swap out. Not sure how they are mounted in...but I would guess it is just an epoxy of some sort.

^Thanks for the pictures man, but I actually just paid to have it done. $180...
I didn't know there would be any bolts involved, I thought it was all just like glued on.
