Default HID Help - No Fog Lights

So I installled HID kits last night and the headlights work great... I'm in love... but the fogs don't work at all. I used DDM kits on both and where you plug the ballast into the wiring harness on the truck is just has 2 wires, each with a single prong at the end. You insert these prongs into each of the receptacles of the plug supposedly and then they should work. My fogs don't come on and I know I have pos/ground to the right ones (I even flipped them just to check) and nothing happens. My plan tomorrow is to cut of the plug assy and put in some sort of connector between the two wires. Does that sound like it'll fix the problem? Anyone else had this happen or any ideas?

Silly question, are you sure your high beams are off?

I just did some hardcore '08 wiring diagram looking. Can't really find any reason why they're not working. I think problem is what you think it is: bad connection into the factory harness. Not enough contact maybe?

I'd do those male/female spade disconnects like I did to mine. Or use bullet connectors.

Mine:

w/spades

bullets...

hm well when i installed my Fogs i kinda freaked out when i pulled them out and saw to wires just sitting in there. i knew red was positive and black was negative so i took the plastic cover thing off the wires that came on the truck to see which side was positive and which was negative and i just matched them up. i just stuck the wires in the holes on both sides and turned on my lights and they worked lol. i went back and wrapped everything in a lot of electrical tape because it seemed very susceptible to water and other crap. but yeah if your high beams are on the fogs turn off. if you didnt go positive-positive and negative-negative im guesing they wont work. try switching which holes you put the wires in and if that doesnt work i dunno haha

My high beams are def. off 'cause I have headlights... remember... HID headlights work without a problem... I tried switching the holes too just to verify but I know I have 'em right... my brother broke one of the prongs off in the factory harness so either way I need to replace that one just to get a connection. Hopefully that side will work and then I can go ahead with the other side.... fingers crossed I guess... I can't wait to have more lights though!! haha

DDM 35 Watt 5,000K all the way around....

Well apparently it wasn't the kits fault... haha... my bro broke off one of the prongs on the pass. side so we replaced everything on that side with spade connectors and it worked great. Did the same on the drivers side and still didn't work but turns out the ballast came unplugged... everything works great now and I love it!!

Drivers side could use a slight tweak down but it's been that way for like a year so I'm not in any hurry to fix it... haha
