Default Truck Cap and Bed Help!

So, I was looking at a couple of small hi-camper tops for my 1998 Ranger Flare side when I was on vacation over the week but the trucks I've found them came off a fleet side bed. I've found a couple between $150 and $250 but my question is, will those caps mount straight up to my flare side though it came from a fleet side bed?

And for my bed question: My local u-pick-it has an IMMACULATE bed from an '01 extended cab flare side and I really want to buy it. Will it bolt straight up to my 98?

Thanks for all your quick responses guys

a cap off of a 'fleetside/styleside' bed will NOT fit on a 'flareside' bed ranger. sorry man.

and i would bet that the 01 bed WILL bolt up to the 98 frame...but don't quote me on that! lol

Damnnn. That sucks. Guess I'm getting a tonneau cover down the line then and saving a few hundred bucks unless I happen to find a good one on Craigslist. I hope someone chimes in on that bed fitting who knows for sure. If it does fit and I happen to have the extra cash laying around, Im sprinting up there to get it.

Ditto what Robert said on both. flareside beds look nice but there isn't much out there for them. I don't think they even make a tall cap for them anyway. Just a cab height one.

I don't have to have a hi-top cap though honestly, I'd prefer it. I like how they look more but if I can only get a cab height one, that'll just have to do.

hey i just thought of something...the gas tanks filler neck would probably have to be different. i think the flareside neck is farther 'inside' with repect to the truck frame...

I'd be going from a Flareside to a Flareside. They only way I could see the filler neck being a problem is if the bed styling was altered slightly.
