Default will these mount to the body?

im trying to buy a set or running boards for my ranger but i need to make sure they bolt up to the body because of my 3in lift. if anyone has experience with these or knows how they mount I would appreciate it. I asked the seller but he hasn't got back to me yet.

that varies from manufacture to manufacture and vehicle to vehicle. i have installed steps on two identical F150s at my old job that looked almost exactly the same but one set mounted to the bottom of the cab mounts and the other through a bunch of holes on the inside of the cab body panels\

i think they were Weston steps and Promax(Raptor) steps....

Well that's a first for me. Lol. I wouldn't feel comfortable with them on the body. Exspecially with the friends I have haha
