Default Squeaky suspension

My suspensions recently started squeaking, not only when 240 pound me gets out of the truck, but when my 95 pound girfriend gets out it also squeaks. It just started and it's annoying, I know I can just spray wd 40 or something somewhere, but I need to know where.

Can you identify if it is either the front/rear and driver/passenger? I know my sway bar in the front was squeaking recently at the bushings on the frame. I just took it off and cleaned it.

Check your leaf springs. My buddy had a leaf spring squeak on his F150 for the longest time. I can't remember what he did to fix it.

I know on my excursion when its started getting hot out I had a few bushings squeaking but it went away after about a week so maybe it was the weather maybe it was something else. I never found out. I would suggest just waiting and seeing if it goes away

I have the same problem, but it is only when i hit bumps and pot holes. I looked back there found out one of my leaf spring is cracked. Still haven't fixed it yet. Could be that.

my suspension squeaks pretty badly as well. I did notice that my driver's side rear shock had a ton of rust in it. so i imagine its time to replace shocks and bushings all around...

Theirs little black spacers in between your leaf springs, try spraying them with some WD that's what I did and it worked

....you can fix that squeaking LOL I'm chuckling cause mine squeaks as well--I think mine is the leaf springs--changed the shackles but not the springs yet. I drove through a parking garage yesterday and it was a constant eee eee eee over every speed bump... How about having your girlfriend get in and out while you get down at ground level and see if you can find where the noise is coming from???

Ok my earlier post wasn't all that detailed, theirs 3 leafs to a spring pack in between each leaf their is plastic spacers that are suppose to prevent squeaking but they don't, spray them with WD-40

With mine it was BALL JOINTS... the boots had rotted away. Fairly major job on a 4WD w/ torsion bars... but now smooth and quiet, and the Moog replacements have grease zerks to make them last longer, and are REMOVABLE when the time comes. I *wish* it was just WD-40 on the leaf springs. YMMV.
